ABOUT STEVEN AUDIA
I started taking photos on a little point and shoot over 15 years ago, and have been obsessed ever since. I was lucky growing up that my close friends we naturally very comfortable on camera and just as comfortable with their bodies. I started experimenting with nude photography as soon as I could and I quickly realized nothing made me feel more alive that making beautiful erotic images.
I am loudly and proudly queer, and as a gay man I’ve always felt safest around women and other queer and non-binary people. I’ve made it my mission to make people feel as safe and confident while we shoot as I possibly can. I found that a lot of the work that focuses on the female form often feels exploitative and exhausted, I hope to reinterpret that mostly oppressive heterosexual male gaze through a confident queer lens. I want my subjects to look hot, empowered, and like themselves.
Collaboration is so important to me and my work; none of this would exist without collaboration, and I hope all my subjects see working together as an energetic exchange and collaboration between artist and muse.
